Hi torn between the 120 cage on zoo plus and the living world eco habitat. One is very cheap the other VERY costly but looks great, has anyone got the eco one? is it good?. I need to occasionally take pigs to my daughter's home if I am away for the weekend. So WHICH ONE?

I googled the living world and it said it is 99.5 cm. That is too small for two piggies. 120 cm is the minimum it must be.

They do make one that is 120 it's not for sale on all the sites that i've looked at.

I would go for a ferplast 120, personally I don't think there is enough ventilation on the eco living world cages and I could imagine they could get quite stuffy.

I'm a total beginner do u think if I had c&c at home and got the ferplast for when they are at my daughter's for the weekend that they would cope ok with the change.

In a cage with no ventilation, it will be more humid and this can lead to fungal infections.

I think that would work well.

I think it would be ok if they were a well bonded pair. If not go for the 120 at home aswell. I remember you have dogs too so maybe the 120 would be better anyway.

Thank you all for the help so far. Seems like a friendly group, and there is nothing better than advice from real people with real pigs

Thanks still to find his playmate, been in touch with sspca so just a matter of time.

Yes, two 120's would make sense and as Helen said if you have dogs be more secure too.

Thanks to all members for their help. Might be a bit silly questions but he's here now so I have to learn fast, and reckon the best place to go for GOOD HELP is to people who have experience.

Ideally yes, would there be a room you can shut them in away from the dogs? You can get fold up playpens for run time. Yes you should put food in the run, and some hay too.

Yes they need floor time as that is the minimum size a cage can be. You can decide to feed them during floor time if you wish. I would ensure they have hay and a bowl of water.

yes he's in the living room at moment in a puppy playpen, he can,t get through the cage. The dogs have no access to this room. It's 130 x 60.
