Hi everyone, i wanted to know that if you guys can help me out with a problem that my guinea is facing from past two days.
She was injected in her right leg after which her leg was not showing a movement with the same, after a day she started walking like regular but now she has been biting the same leg and developed an abrasion. The wound bleeded in the starting then the blood stopped now she is biting it again and again the leg has a bit of swelling and wound is watery the doctor advised to put the antiseptic on it. How do i take care of it?

What was wrong the leg for her to have an injection in it?

You can clean the wound with a saline solution in the meantime, but I would take her back to the vet for it to be checked. If she is biting at it, then it is likely causing her pain.

She dilivered two healthy babies on 11th may, after few days on 21st she started jumping in pain and was behaving diffrently also srcreaming in pain when we took her to the vet he told us that her womb was coming out. He fixed the problem and gave her injection and some medicines of nutrients and digestion.

If your sow has had an uterine prolapse and has complications in wake of it/is in major pain, you need to see a vet promptly.
It is a potentially fatal problem in guinea pigs. :(

PS: the same goes if she has a bad reaction to the injection or a developing infection from the infection.
