Hello all, I was looking at my girl this morning and noticed her ear was red, scabbed, and bleeding. I put some topical antibiotic on it but am curious. Doesn’t look like ringworm, it’s not white or fuzzy and she lives alone so it’s not a bit wound. Any ideas? Vet appointments are about 6 weeks out right now.

:agr: Please also do not self treat. Doing so can ‘hide the evidence’ when it comes time for her to be seen by the vet. Hope she’s sorted soon.

Could she have caught herself with a nail whilst cleaning / scratching? If it doesn’t improve in the next day or two, I’d seek veterinary advise if only a phone call if you can’t see them for 6 weeks
Good theory! I did clip her nails yesterday so I’ll have to take a look and make sure they’re not jagged! Thank you
