After setting up a new colossal grid, 2 level cage for my 2 piggies I am trying to find a big bale of magazorb/petbed bedding. I bought 2 medium packets of shredded cardboard from pets at home and it hardly covered any of the surfaces - and at £3.50 per pack it will be too expensive for me to use this every week. I have seen posts on here about big bales of stuff for about a fiver and wondered if anyone could reccommend somehwhere that sells it in Norwich, or anywhere in Norfolk?

It will be a nightmare to use sawdust and hay like I used to, due to the large surface area of their cage, so I need something that will be easy to clean and will absorb their wee's without it getting saturated and smelly.

Temporarily I used fleece blankets but they soon got soaked with wee and I felt awful for Trixie and Sookie, so quickly changed it all.

Any hints or tips would be greatly received.

Thanks :)

I get my megazorb online from a shop called Farmways. They come in big sacks and I usually order 3 or 4 sacks at a time. However, the delivery cost is quite high, but I find that megazorb goes a long way so I dont mind paying for the delivery and the convenience of having them delivered to my door.

The Giant Pet Store in Norwich sell Megazorb in big bags for about £7, I bought some from them just last week! Be warned though it does get a bit messy when the little critters decide to wheel-spin round corners! I decided to change to fleece, towels and newspaper for this very reason.

I get a delivery of the big bales of cardboard every week and am just north of Norwich near the airport, the guy who delivers usually drops big loads to livery yards etc. I get it free delivery as he drops it off here after going to the yard a few minutes down the road. you do have to be in to wait around though as the timing of delivery is not very reliable. If your order several bales at once he will deliver into norwich, a lady who adopted from us orders 8 at a time and he delivers to the city centre. If you can store them he may be able to deliver to you pm if you want his number.

That would be brill, we have plenty of space to store the stuff. How much do you pay per bag/bale? I can collect if easier too, I only have a small car though, so couldnt fit too much in there! But I live in the City so its no bother at all to go to the airport area.

I live in the airport area not sure where John is based to be honest he delivers around the county. He usually only delivers but worth phoning him to find out. Several of our adoptees have extra bales here ordered for them so to be honest don't have much room here to store extra til it is picked up and the delivery varies in time and day usually on a wednesday or a tuesday though. Will pm his number bales are £4.50 each (large!)
