my 3 piggies currantly live indoors and I'm just wondering what are peoples opinions please on whats best indoors or outdoors? my all life ive had piggies amd always had full run of sheds ect when i put them out in the nice weather i feel they should be out all the time in the fresh air ect? i keep on top of there cage and use fleece but my children are all asthmatic and it does worry me sometimes about there health ect aswel? Thank You xx

i have guinea pigs that are disabled/elderly inside all year round.then the other groups are outside for spring.summer, autumn,in 6 feet hutches.i spend alot of time in the garden in the warmer months.it really is your own preference.maybe have inside in the colder months, outside in the warmer months.if you have a shed that is insulated you could have them in there all year round.:)

Mine are indoor all year round :) I personally worry about extreme temperature variations, harmful wildlife and not spotting illnesses quick enough. In the early days I thought about a shed, got it all kitted out and insulated and now it holds garden furniture :))

They go in the run outside when it’s good weather (under supervision). Otherwise they spend their time indoors on fleece! It’s especially handy if they’re poorly or there are behaviour issues like we’re having now. And if I’m honest I think the air is probably better in here than it is outside anyway, car pollution and all that plus my house is like a tropical rain forest with all the plants I have :))

My guinea pigs are kept in a hutch outdoors all year round I got them just before Christmas last year I kept them indoors for a little while but my sister has hey fever so my parent made me keep them outside I wishes they lived in side as well as it being better for them it is easier and cages are a bit cheaper any advice?
