My family are away on holiday, so I thought it was the perfect time for a temporary indoor trial with the girls. I want to test if they keep me awake at night, so thought this week was a good time, that way if they are noisy the whole house isn't awake and grumpy haha! So far the only noises I can hear are hay munching and the occasional rumble from Peaches.

I'm glad to hear! I posted in a different forum as my pig lived outside and I got a torrent of abuse lol! I knew I wasn't doing wrong x

ooh they look so content! I hope it works out :) Sweet photos.

@Char93 don't worry, no-one will give you a flogging here for keeping them outdoors, there's plenty of people on here who keep their pigs outdoors, if you want to discuss any aspects of this no-one will judge you :)

Yes, a lot of us on here keep them outdoors. :D like Critter said you won't be judged at all!

Well after night one I can say it went fairly well. The only time the noise bothered me was when Peaches decided that 5:30am would be a brilliant time for a rumbling session. It feels so strange looking down when I woke up and seeing Mabel's face staring at me. :P

Arr aren't they cute!

Your lucky! I have 5 boars and a dog in my room, the boars do different things when the sun starts coming out, from doing laps to chewing the bloody logs! lol.

Hahaha! Oh dear! To be fair they were quieter than I thought they would be. I didn't hear a peep from Dolly and Amber all night. Just the other two having dominance issues at 5:30am!

Can't say I'm noticing any smell. All I can smell is the hay, but weirdly I really like that smell :)

To be honest, the only time I notice any smell is when they need a clean, that includes the sows who I know have stinky pee lol. Our's get cleaned every 2 - 3 days even though I've read people leave it for a week :vom: :yikes: If they don't smell during that time, I want to know what their secret is lol :D (I mean if your a fleece user).

Yeah with four girls I think I'll be changing it in a couple of days! Although at the moment they're on loose fleece and towels. If they came inside properly they would be in a proper cage with liners. I find liners so much easier to work with.

I just love how many zoomies and popcorns I'm seeing. Its lovely. Amber was trying to relax in the cosy snug earlier and was still so excited she couldn't sit still, so was popcorning inside the snug. I had a bouncing snug.. so funny :D

Bouncing snug - such a funny image! :) made me chuckle xx bless her

I hope the trials going well!

I have my four girls in my bedroom and I can honestly say that apart from when they were sorting out dominance hen I first put them together, that they never keep me awake. I actually find the soft mumble of hay and occasional purr quite comforting.

Only downside is that if I get up to go to the loo they scream as loud as they can in hope of getting some veggies. I'm surprised it doesn't wake the neighbours up! Haha :P

The piggie in the 3rd pigture looks like she's asking if she can stay indoors forever. Ha ha Beautiful Guineas by the way.

Those lovely piggies look really happy indoors. The only time I hear mine at night is when they drink, they attack the bottle nozzle so hard it rattles the whole cage!

i am desperate to get mine inside.... i sat outside earlier just watching them and i love seeing them popcorn..

Aww. Is there any way in the future they can come in? Yeah I love just watching them plod around doing their own thing.

Awwwwww Mabel chooooooookens again!
