Hi

Could anyone (UK) recommend a good indoor run for two piggies.. It really needs to be collapse-able as I don't have the space to store it and could do with a base - my apartment is laminated throughout. I did try the piggies in our hallway yesterday which would be a perfect run area, but their little feet couldn't grip the floor - sliding all over the place! Has anyone any experience of pigs getting used to laminate/tiled flooring?

I've had a look on ebay, amazon, argos but majority have an open base. I've got about 6/7 square feet of space in the living room, or a long hallway.

I did see a paddling pool recommended on the forum - which would be cheaper. But my two chew everything - I assume they will pop it?! Maybe something like this?

Thanks

hi i had a similar problem i had a great space for my guinea pig, but it was getting a bit boring for him being let out on the floor everyday, I have inserted a picture this is the playpen i have. It can be used for any animal. has two pockets the top opens up and has two zip entrances. there is nothing in there that your guinea pigs will chew. it folds away and even comes with a case so it easily transported. I bought another food bowl, bottle and toy and i keep them in the playpen so all i have to do is bring my guinea pig down. hope this helped :)

also is very easily cleaned as it is waterproof at the bottom :)

Oh that sounds good , where is that from? I think I saw something similar on amazon. It's probably a bit more appropriate than a paddling pool :lol!:

I've got a folding metal pen. It doesn't have a base but I just put a fleece under it.

I've got that run too! It's great, can be used indoors (with a base) or outdoors (with a net type top). Not too expensive either.

One disadvantage, no be of our family can work out how to gold it up! Should be dimple but we can't do it! It lives half folded in our garage when not in use!

I have seen some people use paddling pools as an indoor run if that is something to look at?

I've got this: http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/runs_fencing/73280/4_sided/30085
It clips together easily and the four sides fold down so it can be stored flat or upright in a small space. It has spikes which go into the ground for outside and you just use it upside down if you want to use it indoors. I have a piece of lino which protects the floor and I just put a couple of old towels on top of it to stop Boris Pig skidding everywhere! He LOVES it and gets all excited when he see me getting the towels out! :)
