I'm going to be buying my boys and indoor run however it won't have flooring with it. They'll be upstairs in my bedroom which is bare floorboards, it's supposed to have carpet on so it's not treated etc as you would have if it was meant to be on show it's basically wood.

I need some suggestions on what I can put down for them to run about on, I'm thinking tarpaulin on the wood then obviously something over the top. I want them to be hurtling around so something that won't bunch up or that they can go and sit under.

I have old sheets how would I secure them so they'd sit on the floor nice and smooth? Give me your ideas people or alternative flooring suggestions. :)

we use old curtains, as they fit under the run sides they cannot be pulled up to be hid under. That said guinea pigwee can still be spooted on the carpet so I,d go for something plastic as well such as tauplin of off cut lino underneath.

I appear to have forgotten all my spelling and grammer, sorry.

I use an old picnic blanket, you know the fleece one side and waterproof on the other type that you can roll up to store. Works brilliantly. X

clever - i like this idea

a piece of lino of cheap oil cloth (used for table cloths etc) with a couple of old towels of newspaper works well for me :)
