I feel quite guilty that my apartment piggies don't get to run outside, soo as a compromise I have extended their indoor run to take over the whole kitchen tonight! My OH is playing football, not sure what he will say when he's back... 
By the way the boxes etc are there to block a gap under the couch although, of course, Ted managed to squeeze through! Coaxed him out eventually with some parsley.
