Hi everyone

My two little girls are coming in overnight now and if it is not too yuck I am putting them outside during the day but now it is getting windier and damper I am looking at ways of giving them a bit more room during the day if they stay indoors.

We have two cats who are both hunters and although they haven't bothered with the piggies while they are in their run or cage I wouldn't trust them it they were able to get to them so can't let the piggies loose in the house.

I have seen a pop up fabric pet playpen that looks perfect. This is the link [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/FABRIC-FOLDABLE-PET-PLAY-PEN/dp/B004ZP2YGE"]FABRIC FOLDABLE PET PLAY PEN - Medium Playpen - Pink - M: Amazon.co.uk: Garden & Outdoors[/ame] hopefully I'm not breaking any rules by posting the link. Sorry if I am. Haven't meant to. Just thought it would save me putting all the dimensions down. Anyway do you think this will be big enough for the two piggies during the winter. They will go back into their cage at night.

Thanks

Definitely big enough. The panels are about the same dimensions as mine and it's only hexagonal; there are 8 sides on that one so it's going to ma-hoosive when it's set up. :) Big round-ish ones are great for them running laps as well, they'll love it.

I've got this run & mine chewed the inside bits where there is plastic on the seams :( I don't think I would leave mine out in it all day because of that. Also, cats could easily get in unless the top is covered. Bear in mind it also collapses easily so anyone/thing that leans against it, it will squash :...

I've got this run in the larger size (145cm diameter). It's true that it's less sturdy than a metal or wooden run, I have two cats who were both VERY interested in the guineas when we got them, and would try to get in, but they never managed it. They tried once to jump on the roof but it just kind of collapsed downwards under their weight and they slid off onto the floor without getting anywhere near or harming the piggies. They haven't tried since and have totally lost interest! My piggies haven't tried chewing it at all. I cut a cheap bit of fleece into a rough circle and I put that down over the waterproof base.

I do use it outside as well but never unsupervised for the above reasons.

As an aside I've also got the exact one posted in your link (115cm), which I am considering selling as I now have the bigger one, no idea where you are located but let me know if you are interested!

I've got one of them and it's brilliant, takes about 5 minutes to clean and about 2 minutes to fold up/out if that.
I've got a cat too and he jumped on top of it the first day but couldn't walk due to it sagging and he hasn't done it since (he's a big tom at almost 6kg too and it held him pretty well)
I'm sure the cats will soon get used to them, my dog likes small furries and doesn't care anymore.

I paid £38 for mine and honestly think it was worth every penny.

Thanks everyone. Decided to order it before I saw your post Pig Tastic about having one. Never mind. :) I'll let you know what they think to it. :) Good idea about the fleece lining.:)
