As some of you may remember, when I got Toby & Barney, MrS made it extremely clear that they were NEVER to come in the house. He then fell in love with them (particularly Toby) and suggested that they come inside in October when it started to get cold on the basis that they went back outside in the spring. They have been in their hutch in the lounge ever since (blocking the front door :mal:). Anyway - after my concerns today about Barney acting a bit weird I discussed with MrS when he came home and said I didn't want them to go back out in the Spring as we might miss when they were poorly. He told me I was being ridiculous as he knew from the moment they were moved inside that they would never be going out again.

So I now have permanently indoor piggies! I'm so happy! So I just have to get MrS to finish the cage he started for them so we can get back to using the front door.

Oh - and Barney is fine now - running around as normal and stealing food from his brother!

I now have to find a use for the two hutches that I am going to have spare!

Hurray! That is wonderful news. How great Barney is well too. You can sell your hutches and make some money.

Hmm....I might sell the smaller one. Think I will keep the bigger one in case they need to be separated for any reason. I was wondering if I could foster piggies but would only be able to do that in the summer as they would have to stay outside. Not sure how a rescue would feel about that.

But then what about the winter? Maybe it would not be allowed if you could not bring them in then.

I know - which is why I could only do short term in the summer. Not sure if it would work but I might look into it - they can only say no after all!

That's great Abi, they are so much easier to take care of indoors too......if we have another wet summer especially!
