Right, after becoming so obsessed with our piggies over the past few months (we were obsessed before but we only have 3 last November....now we have 10 soon to be 11!) we have decided we would really like some of our older piggies inside with us, the eldest is only 2 and a half years old but she'll be coming to live inside with us and will be introduced to Izzy our rescue (sorry for those of you who wanted to see more photos of Izzy after we got get a couple of weeks ago but once they move into the perminant house inside...there will be LOTS of photos).

So my other half got busy last night finishing off the cage they will be living in for the rest of their lives, and as our sows get older, we will add more to it eventually.

So here is is...

Not quite finished as we need to seal the edges so their pee doesn't leak out (which we'll do this afternoon) and also figure out how we're going to attach a water bottle in it. Eventually (probably after next payday) Jay will make a second level within it so that they have an upstairs bit.
The measurements are about 5.5ft x 2.5ft so its gonna be nice and big for 2 piggies for the meantime.

Will post photos of our progress.

It's a really nice size & will be fantastic for 2 piggies. What are you using on the sides?

Ok we finished it (almost) so put 3 piggies in. Sway, Izzy and Star (who thinks Sway is her Mum I think..lol). Next payday we hope to get the hayloft sorted.

Looks good .It is nice to have piggies indoors all the time you can interact with them so much better. I look forward to my lot going into their out side houses in a couple of months but always really miss their company in the house.Still they have much more space outside and lots of grass to run about on and I can look forward to October when they will be back in again.

Its been so wonderful! We ate dinner, fed them and watched Sex & the City. The whole time while watching SATC we heard nothing but content happy noises from them. I really can't explain the warm fuzzy loveliness its making me feel.

They've been running around like nutters having a whale of a time! I feel so blessed right now that they are so happy.
