Hiya everyone!

During the winter I am planning to bring the guinea pigs inside depending if it is 5 degrees or below overnight.

My parents are okay about bringing them in but instead of a cage like ferplast I have found a plastic paddling pool from poundland. Would it be okay for two sows ? Here is a link to it : Kids Paddling Pool

If anyone knows the dimensions please let me know.

Thanks.

This paddling pool is tiny from poundland - my friend got it for her son and when she blew it up there wasn't even enough room for him to sit in it :)) I guess that's what you get for a pound haha!
As for a bigger paddling pool, I agree with the above - I know mine would definitely chew the plastic!

What about argos? They do a nice range of paddling pool which I think would be fine to bring them into :)

That one looks bigger and deeper. You would have to line the bottom of it with something though to prevent them from chewing. I guess it all depends on whether your piggies are chewers or not on whether they would chew it.

I know people who use paddling pools as indoor runs and they line the bottom with fleece. Would you trust your piggies in it overnight and whilst you were out though?

I presume you are planning to keep them indoors all winter, not bring them inside then put them out again after a few days? My understanding is that they wouldn't cope well with temperature fluctuations (indoors/outdoors) like that.

Yes I will bring them in all winter.
