hello, i've recently had a new shed built in our garden ( girls only craft den) and want to bring the 4 outdoor girls into it over winter- i don't want to use the wooden hutch they are in as need to use space in best way possible.. would the "Plaza 160 cage "on zooplus be doable, if they had access to a run around every day? i cant go with a c&c cage due to 1 piggy being a climber/ escape artist so need a proper secure lid.thanks.

Did you know you can make a 2 grid high C&C cage (thats 70cm high?) to keep in escape artists? Thats what we have to keep in bouncy mountaineering Piggle. 160cm cage sounds a bit small for 4 piggies unless they had permanent run access...

my c&c had a lid as I was going to use it outside, I’ve remodelled now but that’s another story, but this is what my c&c did look like with it’s lid. Look at the 2x4 section of it on the right hand side (not the 2x3 extension which I added later). It was 3 grids deep. You may just about be able to see but the back grid is fixed with the connectors and the front two, which overlapped, were tied with cable ties so that they opened like hinges. It worked brilliantly.

I bought a lid too but I didnt understand how it worked so I used the grids to go 2 grids high and built a hay room extension with the others :)

hmmm, might have a rethink then:hmm:. just had a thought about using the runs they have, pretty sure i could cobble something together that could work-dont know why i had'nt thought of that first!
