Anyone else grow windowsill grass for their piggies? I think Cashew approves!

The only downside is that our neighbours must think we’re really odd, seeing trays of grass in the window

I grow it in a 50/50 mix of vermiculite and compost (the vermiculite holds water better and attracts less mould) from wilko, they also sell really cheap trays to grow it in, the grass in the photo is oat grass (also referred to as cat grass!) which grows quicker and in thicker strands than normal grass, I got 1kg of seeds from eBay for about £8 but I also got 1kg of normal grass seeds from wilko for about £4!

What lucky piggies!

I go out and forage grass for my lot every day on my walks. This is a particularly good time of year for lots of grasses. Timothy grass seed heads are just appearing.
