Looking for one in the Uk eg the trixie 150.

Can anyone suggest a indoor comercial cage as me and my mum are useless at making things so she would rather pay for an indoor then a c&c.

Big enough for 2 guineas and prefrebly under £70.

Again in the UK please , thank you very much :)

The Skyline Maxi XXL is a good cage and is only about £40 on Zooplus. Has room to fit a hayloft in too. Am sure others will have good suggestions aswell.

Not sure if you could find petsmart in UK but they have good dog crates. They work well with towels and fleece.

Any large dog crate should work. At least 60cm x 120cm (2ft x 4ft) Bigger is always better :)
I have a 28in x 42in.

Not sure if the dog crates in the US are the same as UK ones, ours don't have a lining over here, & piggies tend to point & pee in corners which may squirt out of the cage lol! :))

is that big enough , if so ill get it :)

Also where can i buy fleeces for this ? and do i have 2 so i can switch them round.

Also is theyre any guides on how to build a shelf for it :)

I never used fleeces, but if I do I think they should be 100% polyester & wash them a few times in non-perfumed washing powder with no fabric conditioner first. There is a thread on here somewhere about it :) You will need at least 2, one in the wash one in the cage. Layer towels & newspaper underneath for extra absorbency.

Not sure why you need a shelf, you can buy corner houses though that they can climb onto, but piggies generally are not like rabbits so don't climb/run up ramps as confident as rabbits do, they like hidey tubes & cosies etc though :)

Thanks alot :)

We want to get everything right before we get them so we was wondering what food we give them ?

We were told to obviously give them access to hay at all times , do i feed pellets and veggies and what sort of kind ?

I do like the Skyline, have never seen it with 2 piggies in though, we have Nigel in it on his own but he used to live in it with his friend Tino before he died, but we adopted him after that.

Maybe look at the 140 cages too, especially if you are thinking of getting boars.

Oh and we have fleece in the Skyline and it works really well.

We got the xxl maxi :)

Mum said we may build one in the future as they grow.

Is their a basic care sheet i could find on here ?

Wow that's a bargain! They are humungous cages lol! :))

Where are the openings? Do they have a top & side opening?

They have a large top opening (which spans nearly the whole length of the cage) and a front opening that is fairly big. The great thing about these cages is the fact that the tray slides out - so for cleaning purposes it's dead easy and very quick to do.

I have to be honest about the Skyline Maxi cage - while it's good value for money i found it difficult when it came to a big clean-out - the front opening is quite small and so i found i had to remove the whole cage part to clean out (the same happend who doing my daily hoovering - the front opening wasn't big enough) - it's also rather difficult to get wriggling piggies out. Other than that it's a good value cage if you are on a budget - not quite big enough i felt for two piggies - but then I'm quite fussy.... :{

It's a bit of a bargain, bit too far for me to travel though :))

I have a 120 cage, I have to take the whole top bit off to clean it out, but I don't mind doing that. It seemed plenty big enough for 2 piggies though as I didn't fill it with too many pigloos etc!

The dog crate I have has a plastic pull out tray. I put a table cloth under the cage to keep poo/pee off the carpet. My pigs mostly pee in a litter box so they don't pee out the cage lol.

TommoN - where in the uk are you located?

I'm going to be selling two of my cages and am looking for around £50 each - these are them: (they are slightly bigger than the Trixie 150's)

http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/hutches_cages/rabbit_cage/140_cm_cages/95921

They would have to be collected in person though due to their size rolleyes

Wow those are huge - I might be looking for another cage in the future and am about half hour drive from you but don't drive and know it would not fit in Dad's little golf but they look a bargin!

I've got as Freplast 100 cage I got off Ebay for £15 which Monty lives in - would not use that for 2 as way too small, if I get another guinea I'd want a 120/140 cage. Monty manages fine in it as he is very tiny and aged 6 or so and really does not move about hardly now.

The Ferplast seems sturdy and wasy to clean - was a bit low on the floor and Mum could not get down to Monty so I brought a stand which makes a difference.

On e-bay and much cheaper than zooplus :)
