Hi everyone! I was just wondering if anyone can recommend an indoor cage for my two long-term foster piggies Magic and Barney. They have come inside as Magic is 8 years old now and I feel a heated shed just wont cut it. I would like it to be as cheap as possible but I dont want to scrimp on the size. So let me know if you have had any good experiences with any! Thanks

Hello :)

The range currently sell a 120cm cage for £39.99 which I use for my piggies. All mine are male and are fine in a 120.

Zooplus sells it here also, same cage http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/hutches_cages/guinea_pig_cages/120_cm_cages/83034 for £37.90 free P+P. I also have some of these for my piggies.

Zooplus also have the ferplast one http://www.zooplus.co.uk/shop/small_pets/hutches_cages/guinea_pig_cages/120_cm_cages/14083 for £54.90 which is much cheaper in shops again with no P+P.

i had a trixie 150 cage for a while which was a good cage. i didn't use the sides and roof though and just put c+c grids around it instead. would a c+c cage be an option for you?

it's a shame i lost the clips for the trixie cage otherwise you could have had that. i still have the base and i think the sides and roof, but no clips unfortunately.

Thank you everyone! I think I have decided and will defiantly post a pic of them in their new home when it gets here! And because I love her here is a pic I have taken of my beautiful old lady :)

That Juno 150 cage is WAYYYYY too small for even 1 guinea pig - the name is slightly misleading i.e 150 - so people think they are getting a 150 sized cage, this coupled with the fact that very few sites give the actual cage measurements. From doing a bit of searching around, the exact measurements of the Juno 150 cage are:

79 x 44 x 33cm - in other words it's the same size as a ferplast 80 cage mallethead no where near big enough for one guinea pig!

I really wish they wouldn't advertise these as LARGE rabbit/guinea pig cages, because they really are NOT!

The Skyline Maxi cage is a decent cage for the money - size wise its within the minimum recommended size for 2 pigs, the only issue i had was the front opening is too small, but it does feature a large door at the top of the cage, so for cleaning/handling pigs, if you dont stack anything on top it's perfect - when i had to separate my two boars i left the top open permanently and it worked well.

You can also just lift the top wire off for cleaning, i would deffo recommend the skyline cage for those on a budget as specification wise it fits the bill.....it's not designed as well as the ferplast 120 - but there is a £17 price difference, so more savings means more piggie treats :)
