Just for winter I want to get an indoor cage suitable for 2, not wanting anything fancy just the cage as I have bought all fancy tings for their outdoor hutch and will just transfer them over.

How much would the cheaper end of the market be. I have see some on ebay that are collection only and being sold between £5 and £30 with a size of around 70" by 40 odd. would something along these lines be ok.

mine have a nero 4 which is 4ft by 2ft although i spent £80 on i have seen them going cheap on ebay.definately have a look on ebay

70" by 40 odd inches is a good size and would work out great.

Yay more happy warm snug piggies in over winter.

Check ebay, adtrader, preloved, vivastreet

How chuffed am I. A lady phoned me off freecycle. Obviously it needs a bit of a clean.

Yep all nice and clean now and piggies are happily sat in there squeeking away. Although I'm trying to figure out *** the yellow loop thing is for.

ive no idea, are you sure its part of it?could be from an old chew toy
hope we get to see pics of pigs in their new home:)

It is to do with the cage, perhaps a safety thing to stop the lid being pushed open.

I have put some pics on the housing board for people to offer some advice on. Let me know what you think or what else I can do. I'm thinking about making the slope a little more user friendly.

I've have sorted the water thing out now as I found a bottle to fit it.

This thing is huge, at least they will be nice and snuggle now :)

the yellow loop is for the water bottle, ive got the same cage...put it through the loop and the drinking spout through the hole!(though my piggies couldnt reach it) gemx

sorry i daint know someone had already told you what it was for!oopppss.gemx

Don't suppose You could post me a picture of how you have it set up. How do you attach the hay rack? With it all being plastic there's no obvious way to clip it on.

Hi,

I've just got this today, collected it from a person off ebay, for £7.50!
Its huge, i'm having a problem with the hay race too - might just leave it out.

Where are you putting the cage in your house/

was that message meant for me? i dont use it all the time, my pigs are outside, but when we clean them out on bad days, we put them in there, or to bring them in for a while for the kids. i just put there hay up a corner, but thinking about it, ive seen hanging hay balls and that, whether there very safe i dont know.gemx

Hiya Gem, rather than buy a hanging metal hay ball, you could thread some string through a loo roll holder and hang it from the top stuffed with hay, they like to eat the cardboard as well as the hay. Another way is to hang a hay sock. Cut the toe out of a jazzy sock and hang the other end up from the bars. Stuff hay up the toe. Mine have both of these, so that as well as the hay they lie on, they always have fresh hay to nibble on. x

What great ideas. I have a nice pink fleece walking boot shoe cover so that would be perfect as it's huge.

I made a snuggle den as well last night. Got some wire and put in into a circle shape and taped it in place and then cut the arms of a fluffy old fleece coat and using my sewing machine to put the wire in place so that the entrance of the fleece den was open. They jumped straight into it :)

I would still love to see a picture of your set up for the case though please.

candywishes: heres the snuggle den I made, complete with piggy :)

I'm going to make another seeing as it was so successful for Boots.
