New Born Pup
Hi all,
So one of my two female middle aged Abyssinians, Lola, has been having mushy poos about once or twice a week for the past couple of weeks. I've hesitated to take her to the vet, she now has an appointment Monday, because it'll happen for part of the day and then go away for a few days and then happen again. She's otherwise normally active, eating well, and remains handling dinner alarm duties every night lol. They always have multiple kinds of hay available, fresh water, some varied healthy natural forage, a bit of pellets and lettuce for breakfast as well as a well varied vegetable platter for dinner. I'm not exactly sure what to do until her appointment, cutting her off from her share of veggies for dinner worries me for multiple reasons.
1. It doesn't seem to cause her problem.
2. It is the most anticipated part of their day and Lola specifically is vocal about it until it arrives.
3. Without a doubt it's their/her most varied and plentiful source of nutrition.
4. She is a big time stresser/nervous nelly and keeping her from dinner and instead strictly syringe feeding her crit care will definitely stress her out. She is very adept at countering all the syringe feeding techniques in the book.
I'm just worried for reasons mentioned above that going to zero veggies for her for a day or two could make things worse along with stressful syringe feeding.
Any feedback appreciated as always! Thank you
