Hi guys,
I've introduced my two boars about 2 and a half months ago. They are both the same age (7-8 months) and the bonding period was successful. They never fight, food is shared evenly, they even take turns with their 2 water bottles! Now, of course I have my one dominant piggy and this was established the first few days of their introduction. I am concerned that he is STILL regularly humping poor Vincent. He has now begun to do it for longer periods of time, and Vincent stands there and takes it every time without putting up a fight. But I am concerned that it is happening so regularly and was wondering if there is anything I should be doing about it, or to just let him carry on. I hate watching my poor Vincent have to take the humps so often

Have you tried putting in a baby safe soft toy? This may be used instead of Vincent sometimes to give him a break.Am sure someone more knowledgeable will come along soon but have heard this can help

My adult boy Hazelnut used to get humped regularly by Peanut Butter who was in his stroppy teenage phase at the time. Like your boys though they did not fight & had 2 of everything. By the time PB was an adult, he stopped his incessant humping although he still tries it now & then. Your boys seem fine. Vincent doesn't really seem bothered by it. But a baby safe sot toy could help as was suggested. Only if a fight starts should you consider separating.

Okay thanks, good to know I don't have to worry too much. Now what age or months would be considered "teenage" times? When did hazelnut stop the regular humping?
