So I got home from work last night and went straight to bed. One of my pigs - Isiah, was squeeking much more than I'd ever heard him squeek before and it went on for ages so I got up to check on them. I found Ollie humping Isiah's head rolleyes. Isiah was not happy about this grrrr, he pecked at Ollie then Ollie would just run around the cage in a frisky riot @), then go back to Isiah and do it again. It went on for ages, and because I'd been at work for 14 hours I dont know how long it had been going on for. Poor Isiah was just trying to eat his brocolli.
They must have settled down because I didn't hear it going on all night, but that might have been because I was so tired I slept through it zzz. This morning I found them snuggled together in the corner of the cage x) - they never snuggle, usually they like seperate rooms.
Is this behaviour from Ollie something I should be worried about, Isiah doesn't like it. I'm worried it will spark a fight. They are both 2 years old.

Hopefully, it will settle down again soon. Adult piggies can very occasionally have a hormonal spike and a bit of a mad day or two. If the relationship is strong, the piggy on the receiving end is pretty tolerant for quite a while, and they often reaffirm their bond with lots cuddling and snuggling up afterwards.

I am sorry that it happened after such a long slog!

Thanks Wiebke. It did stop after a couple of days and then is started again. It doesn't seem to be causing any serious problems at the moment so hopefully Ollie will just get it all out of his system again and settle down.

Try rubbing a little Vick Vaporub on Isiah's back. This sometimes works but not always. Most piggies don't like the smell.
