someone gave me a senior guinea pig on july 9th, 2023 and i took him to the vet and they’re saying he needs a $1,200 bladder stone removal surgery he was also diagnosed with arthritis and pneumonia that he’s being treated for but i dont know what to do about the surgery! he is 5 years old and has a pre-existing medical history with pneumonia but the vets say he needs the surgery to live pain free i dont know where to post his gofundme so i figure i could at least try here as a last resort —>

again mods please delete if its not allowed and all of his medical info is in the link i’m also attaching pics of his X-RAYS and his vet bill, and a pic of him at the vet thank you much for reading. I'm also very open to cavy savvy expert’s opinions too on what i should do. I'm torn between getting the surgery and HOPING he can survive it (after the pneumonia is healed) or making him as comfortable as possible because of his old age. I'm also sorry for asking for help with his gofundme, i just dont know where to post it within a guinea pig community. nobody else on different gofundme pages really understands the importance of guinea pig medical care so i thought that maybe you’ll would understand my position more i’ve been told by MANY other people to “just get another one” but i feel like all pets deserve medical care and literally ANY donation would mean the absolute world to make him better
