Hi everyone-

I wanted to share about my beloved guinea pig, Glacier, who recently passed away in November due to spinal and arthritis issues. He was 4 years old and filled every single day of his life with joy and a sense of adventure.

Glacier was a beautiful little guy with the softest white and gray fur—he truly lived up to his name. One of my favorite memories of him was watching him popcorn around the room during playtime, so full of joy and energy. He was fearless, unbothered by sounds that might startle other guinea pigs. For a time, I thought he might be deaf or hard of hearing, but I later realized he could hear perfectly well.

His little wheeks were my morning routine, and the house feels so quiet without them. I’m heartbroken, but I’m also grateful for the time we had together. He brought so much light into my life, and I hope I gave him a good, happy life in return.

I’m sharing this here because I know many of you understand how hard it is to lose a pet. If you’ve been through something similar, I’d love to hear how you coped—or even just stories about your pets. It helps to connect with others who truly understand. Glacier is the first piggy loss I've had-we don't get enough time with these little critters.

Thank you for letting me share about Glacier . He was such a special little soul, and I will miss him every day.

BIG HUGS

What a heart felt tribute to a much cherished fur-mate. You have given Glacier a happy life beyond anything he could dream of and he has in turn filled your own life with his very own sparkle and love.

It is so hard when it ends but what nobody can ever take away from you is the sheer blessing of having had this special time with him in your life. You will always hold it in your heart and be able to warm the cold fingers of your soul on it when times are tough, as I know from my own experiences and as I am doing for myself right now.

Give yourself time to grieve and to deal with the darkness now that the light has gone. Give the eyes of your soul time to get used to the dimmer light in the coming days and weeks. That special light that Glacier has brought into your life is however never totally lost for you once your eyes have adjusted to the lower levels...
It will be there in your memories and in your heart forever - I promise!

I’m so sorry Glacier has left for the rainbow bridge. He was a special boy. He had a wonderful life with you and you’ve got the memories to cherish. Take care ❤️

I have had to say goodbye to much loved piggies and it hurts so much but over time it eases and we are left with treasured memories imprinted on our hearts, so they are never far away. Grief hits us all differently but I send you hugs at this very sad time. He would have known how much he was loved and he enjoyed life to the full as part of your family. You gave him a wonderful life.
