I think Muffin went into heat last night, she was squeeking, purring and generally being a pain in the a** to her poor sister. She hounded Cocoa to no end. Eventually I took Cocoa out for a cuddle to give her a break and to let Muffin calm down. I started to panic that the breeder mixed up and we ended up with a boy / girl instead of girl/ girl that I was promised, because why would one sister act like that to another? I've been looking at Cavie butts all morning lol, and I think that yes they are both girls. Their parts look identical to each other.
Is this a normal behaviour? Also how often can we expect them to go into heat. Muffin seems to be back to her normal self this morning, so I'm guessing it doesn't last long?
