Those of you who came to Bath, I have probably already bored you with this one.

The night before the guinea party I went out for dinner with parents and two friends. I wanted the steak so I had to make sure the sauce was gluten-free. When I asked the waitress she said they knew all about my problem because one of the staff was a celeriac.

A vegetable?

You would hope restaurant staff would know the difference between a bowel disease and a root vegetable, wouldn't you? :o ::) ;D

of goodness sake, mind you hubby can be a bit dim when things like that happen no doubt he would have said the same but hes harmless really bless him, I'm often correcting him but its lovely part of him, I would have cracked up I must admit ;D ;D

It was ridiculous ;D

My mother, who was wasn't really listening, thought they meant there was celeriac in the sauce, which i hate, and couldn't understand why I went ahead and ordered the steak!

Ah you have some great friends i love the way this banter has gone on.

All that aside was this girl on this planet or what, all restaurant staff should be schooled on people with allergies. I also get weird looks when i say i've got allergies too they just don't understand ::)
