Hello! Just wanted to see if anyone had any advice on what I could do to improve my C&C (other than the correx heh). I've cleaned them out and all that so I don't know what else to do for the piggies :))

:D How about one or two chubes to play in and gnaw on? Perhaps replace the plastic hides, which can get hot in summer, with wooden houses that they can gnaw on? Maybe use one third of the cage as their kitchen rather than those trays which must be awkward to get in and out of? Close it off with one or two grids and make a Correx tray to fit?

Oh wow what lovely ideas! I'm going to home bargains today actually so I'll have a look to see if they have any chubes in. I don't have enough correx to fit right now, but I'll try something as soon as I have my hands on some! P@H is right next to it and as the only place with wooden houses, I'll go there after. Thanks :D They've now got a soft monkey toy and Minja hides behind it :)

I put a fleece forest made using spare grids and fleece that my girls loved. Also made tunnels with fleece and put a fiddlesticks bridge in the entrance.I don't see a problem with the litter trays, I use them and my piggies love them

Thank you! I should at least one grid somewhere so I'll search for that in a minute, and I'll be sure to try the other idea as well :)

Ah that looks lovely. What about some cardboard box hideys?
Thanks! A washing machine arrived yesterday and the box was nice and made of strong cardboard, but far too big to put in their cage :P My aunt works at Tesco so I'll ask her if she can spare a few boxes.

Binder clips and fleece can work brilliantly. Lots of bargain shops have fleece blankets for £1. You can fold them, cut them, do whatever you like with them.....then clip it on to your grids. A favourite is making a triangle then clipping that into a corner - kind of making a roof for them.

Another thing is the car wash idea. Fitting a grid to a corner like a roof, then tying lots of strips of thinly cut fleece, so that they hang down looking like a car wash. Make sure the fleece doesn't drag on the floor though....it can get a bit smelly otherwise. You could even place a bit of fleece over the to of the grid to give it a roof!

Fleece and clips.....the limit is your imagination! Lol
