So, after reading the thread suggesting Ikea Toftbo bath mats, I'm going for the switch!

The vet bed I'm using (green backed) is too big for our machine to handle so it has to go to the launderette and I can't be bothered anymore..!

My questions are; I use towels under the vet bed currently and they get changed weekly. What's the best thing to use under the bath mats? Will the towels do? Will they last as long (two boys)? If you recommend puppy pads, which ones/where do you get them?

Thanks for your help!

I use puppy pee pads under the fleece bedding and I like it. It is pretty convenient, I can just throw it away when it is soiled. I like the jumbo size puppy pee pads because it covers a large area and you can get these in any pet stores or at Costco.

I also considered bath mats, which I saw some use on YouTube so I might look it over when I visit the IKEA store next time.

I use vetbed and, yes, it is bulky for the washing machine so I cut mine up into much smaller pieces and the machine handles it fine now.

I use the mats on top of fleece - a liner for the boys and a waterproof layer and fleece for the girls. I have found that towels get stinky quite quickly and don’t dry as quickly as pee pads. You can get washable puppy pads as well.

@Siikibam I used fleece for a while but didn't get on with it, I found it was really smelly after a day or two, and I was changing them constantly, so I went back to vetbed..
