What a summer! I needed time away from the forum, as my pet business was so busy and I also had coursework due in, as well as caring for all the piggies at TEAS. At the start of August, on my busiest week of the year, I tested positive for Covid! It was the first time I have had it and it hit me hard! I think if I could've just taken to my bed for a few days, I'd have been fine, as the symptoms didn't last very long. However, I couldn't take time off work, I couldn't rest and I was having to get up every morning at 5 am, to get all my home visits done, which were taking around 5 hours every morning and 4 hours every evening, 7 days a week! I will be honest, I've never so much wanted a job where I could call in sick! The exhaustion I was feeling was phenominal! Anyway, I survived the summer, I submitted my coursework last Tuesday afternoon (on time) and the piggies at TEAS are all doing amazingly well! I am currently on holiday from work, although back on Monday, but only for two weeks, when I have some more time off! If this summer has taught me anything, it is that I need to learn to say the word 'NO' and I have to get a better work/life balance. I didn't get to see the grandchildren once throughout the six week holiday.

So, I am back in a small way, but for now I will be just checking in from time to time! I hope you all had a good summer, despite the weather! At least we have summer now!

Glad you are ok. I was worried about your absence. Yes. Do make time for yourself and your family. Take care ❤️

Very sorry that you caught the new variant; it seems to currently really be making the rounds. Covid can really wipe you out, unfortunately. But glad that you have made it through and have more downtime to come.

Gosh it sounds like you have had a very busy summer! Glad to hear you have had some much needed time off as well!

Welcome back. I had Covid in August too and I didn’t have half as much on my plate as you. Hope you are gradually settling into a good work/life balance now 🤞

Welcome back. You have been missed. I hope you can catch some time with your grandchildren soon.

Welcome back. My husband has also had the new variant and been quite poorly with it. I am sure your little charges were thrilled to see you even if you felt well under par. Well done for getting your coursework in.

Well done Debbie for battling on, its good to see you (partially) back 😊 Take care and don’t overdo things x

Nice to have you back Debbie. Sounds like you had a very busy summer. Do try and take some time for yourself.

I too had COVID for the first time. It left me feeling exhausted for about a month. Thankfully my only long term symptom is that my sense of smell/taste are a little off.

Welcome back 🙂 Sorry you had Covid but I’m glad you’re ok now. My mum tested positive for it this morning 😞

Sounds like you’ve been very busy. Glad all the TEAS piggies are doing well. Well done on getting all your coursework in on time x
