People buy from all sorts of places - but be careful - some fleeces don't wick very well. I advise , until you are confident in spotting wicking fleeces, get the ones that are called Polar Fleece.

We have several bargain stores in the UK that sell polar fleece throws. Ikea is another good place to look. I prefer to buy from fabric shops as I find this type of fleece is more hardwearing.

Primark seem to have stopped selling the basic fleece! They just have luxury thick fleece throws now :-(
