Ok so tomorrow is the day. It’s going to be warm and I’m going to bath Pepper and Pebble (and Chester the dog who is stinky from his recent beach holiday).

I’ve had Pepper since November 2020. Out of all my piggies he is definitely the greasiest. The grease from his grease gland goes about 2 inches up his back. I usually clean him with coconut oil but tomorrow is going to be his first proper bath. I’m not really looking forward to it. I have bathed piggies in the past a long time ago. My RB Piggy Sunny was like a frog and nearly leapt out of the bath!

So I’m going to bath them in Chester’s swimming pool. It’s on the ground. So it’s very safe as I don’t have a bath anymore.

I have these products from gorgeous guineas

I feel I need the Perfect Paws as Pepper also has dry feet. He’s been to the vets about it and they have said there is no underlying problems with them. 👍🏻

Also my husband and son can’t believe my piggies are so pampered they have their own shampoo and foot cream. 🤣🤣
 
Good luck for the bathing tomorrow.

Only thing I would suggest is putting a towel down for them to stand on or if you have the time you can always get in for a quick dip and maybe save your back a bit, which may make them a little more comfortable but maybe not so great for you.

I’ve bathed numerous piggies who have come into the rescue over the years and it still fills me with terror. All the very best. And see you on the other side
 
I bathe my long hair boy Finn and give him a quick hair cut afterwards. I found it easier to cut his hair after his bum baths otherwise, his hair will fly all over the place.
My Bear needs bum baths because he is quite the pigpen, if you know what I mean, :whistle: Bear has short hair.
 
Good luck! I have to do pepper recently, I do him in the shower with the small shower head, we use gorgeous guineas kind and gentle. Just make sure you have your towels all ready to dry them, I do try to give him a little blow dry for as long as he will tolerate but he does go home fairly wet, but we keep the flat warm for him.
