Right after having a look at cages for most of this weekend and panicking that they are just to small for my boys, (i have 2 boars who have to live apart as they cant stand each other!)

I have decided to bite the bullet and build another new C&C cage, they have one at the moment as it is but my room is a bit bigger than the spare room they will be moving too.

My problem is I cannot work out how to build up a cage which is on 2 levels but SEPARATE! (that's important hehe)

I was thinking about the lines of

4 grids long 2 grids deep and 4 grids up.

Would that be a big enough size for 1 piggy on each level?

How would I go about making the divider in the middle? what is the best thing to use! I'm so stuck!

Above all the move hassle etc (I have 3 weekends left before the move date to get everything sorted) this is the one thing I am stressing about the most :(

hi, we have had the same problem about our boys fighting and we have just built a c&c cage to house them seperatly, it is 2 floors with a central divide. see pic below, hope it might help x

sorry, i think i misread your post ! this would be too big for the space you have available . ooops x

You can construct a cage like that - have a look trough our hutch and cage gallery for inspiration; best start from the end!

Perhaps you want to construct a two level 2x4 grid cage where each boy has a 2x3 grid space and a 2x1 grid hayloft on the other floor, so they can still socialise through the dividing grids?

I could do that, but it is all about space which is the down side. I was thinking about making it long but slim and then dividing it down the middle so they can still talk to each other. At the moment their cages are

5 long and 2 wide.

I would post link but I'm on my mobile I have a 2x4 which is ideal for one pig then I have a gap and the top cage easy access and doesn't take as much space :)

If you could when you have chance put a pic up that would be awesome! I am worried I am taking space away from them, this is a down side to moving out!
