Hello good fellas. From last three days I'm noticing that my male guineapig's left eye is watering. Once in a day a milky fluid comes and the water is gathering on the fur besides his eye and getting hard . But he's not losing any fur or stopped eating . But this is making me super tensed . Before the watering started he was playing with hay for the first time . So could it be hay poking ? And as far consulting a vet is not so helpful . Because previously when I took him to a vet he was given wrong treatment. So what can I do . I can give a picture if you guys want . Please help me .

Milky white fluid is normal cleaning fluid and provided the eye is nice and bright, on it’s own is not of concern. Sometimes they don’t clean it all away.

If your piggy had discharge of any other colour, or the eye itself becomes red or cloudy, then you do need to see a vet. I appreciate it isn’t always easy, but the eye would need to be checked for injury/ulceration and then have treatment prescribed.

Eye isn't red. But he is fluttering his eyes. I guess the water is making him uncomfortable. Anyways thanks a lot for your help. I'll certainly take him to a vet . Thanks

Eye watering (other than the normal cleaning fluid) can be a symptom of irritation not necessarily a source of irritation.
Definitely have him checked by a vet to be safe
