Hey Guys

I'm going to Ikea soon in July and I heard that you are able to get some good stuff for piggies.
Any ideas?
 
A few members have bought this doll's bed which their piggies love. We have it here in OZ too. Now that it's half price here I am going to get two myself (my boys have to have one each).

Also, several members have bought IKEA tables to put their C & C cages on but I don't remember the model.
 
Ikea linnmon tables (table top size 150x75 cm) neatly fit a cable tied 2x4 C&C cage; the legs fit inside a 2x4 cage underneath and hold down fleece nicely. They come in a range of top and leg designs.

I also use their kitchen cupboard liner as a useful temporary underlay/carpet protector for roaming corners and emergency pens; you may need a couple of rolls. They have come in very handy at times; the underside is knobbly, so they don't slide!

In my experience, cheap Ikea fleeces are not to be recommended - nasty stuff!
 
Its always a good idea to look out for stuff in the kitchen section. They may have metal iyems that can to used as hay racks etc..

I have a cube storage unit for my piggies stuff and I have seen people use two of yhem as a c&c base. You can buy different dtawers etc.. for them to make them fit with your decor :

I'm convinced that the Ikea Trofast storage system is the answer to life, the universe and everything ;) we have it all over the house and i would line a wall in every room with it if i had my way! I have a unit of it in the utility room for pet stuff :)

Briony you have been full of very helpful advice for me as a new member - thank you! Now that I have decided on a c&c I was wondering what else I could use as a stand instead of paying for more grids and making one...the ikea cube storage shelving unit thing is my answer! I like that you can get draws for it to match your decor :) What size c&c do you have on yours? Would I need 1 or 2? Thanks :)
 
It comes in different sizes I have a 5 cube one but I use mine upright just as a cupboard. I know members on here have put two together to make a base as you need two for the width. As for the length I suppose it would depend on what size cage you are planning what length you would buy.
 
My girls home on Ikea units. They are great for storing all their stuff. I did a l-shaped design with two of the Expedit (now changed to Kallax) units and a small Lack table.
