Ignoring the ramp.

So, I've had Ginko and Thorn for nearly three weeks now, and they seem to adore their new quarters... the ground floor, at least!

They don't seem to have twigged that the ramp leads to a whole new level at all. I even put Ginko on the other level yesterday after clean-out, but he just stayed up there all day and didn't even sniff at the ramp, until Thorn started getting worried and I put them back in together.

It's as long as I can make it, so angle shouldn't be a probelm, and it's got one of those green extendable tunnels from P@H inbuilt, so I can't imagine traction being the issue.

Why aren't they exploring?
 
Hi. They may just be ignoring it because they have never used a ramp before. Maybe you could put food leading up the ramp. Also some people on here have attached a tunnel cosy all the way up their ramp. Here's the link: http://www.cosycavies.co.uk/ It's near the bottom. Good luck! xx
 
Perhaps just lay a towel or a piece of fleece on the ramp. They may give it a go on a different surface. You could also leave a trail of food/ treats for them to follow.

That is what I did, it didn't work straight away but they got it in the end!
 
I never thought of that. Gertie pig goes up the ramp, but never comes back down. I just assumed her claws needed clipping so I did it. Will try the towels on the ramp.
