I am considering buying loads of Zorb from the USA with a view to using it in cages and selling some off to raise rescue funds.

Is anyone interested in Zorb if I import loads?

i would be but i'm thinking the P&P would probably be really high and i'm a long way from you!

Would you be selling locally or posting stuff off?

It would be worth thinking about how much you would charge per bag (what size is a bag?) and how much to charge for P&P to various areas. (Remember to include costs of whatever you have to use to package it up as well as the charge by the post office.

I guess the costs and where you are willing to post it to will affect who would be interested in buying.

A courier up to 45kg is about £8.50 - so that would be like a top end posting price i'm thinking of you bought a few metres it wouldn't be much more if any more than inco pads and it's supposed to be much superior than inco pads - plus by the metre you can cut it to size for your cage rather than patching inco pads (which is what I currently do)

Depending on how much it cost I would be interested as I could use it in the bottom layer of the beds I want to make the girls for the winter. I'd probably only want a couple of metres so it's not something I'd considered buying before. :)

I *think* I could do 1 x 1.15m for £7.50 - + postage so that would actually work out cheaper than inco pads. This is just a rough estimate at the moment.

It would be perfect for larger cages - it would even fit my 3 x 4 grid c&cs

How much do you pay per yard including postage? I'm kinda trying to arrange something like it in Sweden...

I'm wondering if postage to the UK is as outrageous as to sweden? Postage is kinda the same as the zorb itself... If I buy 40 yards it's $8,2 /yard. What price are you getting?

I'll get a quote and let you know. I was hoping to pay about $150 for postage if I bought 100 yards but I am now thinking it wont be that cheap.

Hmmmm i'll let you know what they say...

is this better than the washable bed pads then? Is it still washable?
I'd be interested if I could some to fit my 4 x 2 c&c cage :)

Yes it's supposed to be a bit better than that and of course is in big sheets (per metre)

Okay with the postage and tax to import it I could do it for £9

let me think it though - i'll get back to you!

Petra they want HUNDREDS to import it.

I'd be interested in trying some out. Would I be able to use this on its own without fleece? As i'm not really too keen on fleece

I live in Pontcanna so I could collect xx>>>

I've just got some from Canada and made up two cage mats with a bottom layer of cotton, then the 2 layers of zorb, then fleece on top all sewn together so far I'm impressed although I have not tried inco pads so I cannot compare it with them.
It washes and dries well. When I got it it said it was conditioned to be washed at 65 degrees (i.e. pre-shrunk at that temp) but you can wash it at higher temps you would just need to wash it at those temps before you sewed it to pre-shrink it again. (They gave shrinkage rate which wasn't much) You don't have to sew it into a pad, you could just cut it to size and use under fleece.

I'd be interested in some more LisaJazz (about 4 metres)

I would probably be interested in some Lisa if it's better than inco pads - depends on the price though xx

Anyone know the differences between that and incopads?

Zorb is like the absorbent part of the inco pad only. It doesn't have waterproof backing (which is a plus in my book as it's heavy and makes drying time longer). Zorb lis white, looks like synthetic felt, is about 2,5 mm thick and absorbs like nothing else I've seen...

ooh yes I am very interested in getting a few metres of this stuff too.
Have you thought any more?
