Ideas For New Hay Rack

So I have two of these HUGE industrial liquid soap dispenser cages and I want to turn them into hay racks... My question is, does anybody have any ideas on how to close off the three sides and bottom?

Maybe cut a c&c grid to size.

The big opening in the front there, would that need to be made smaller? Or could I leave that that size?

I would think it would be where they could eat from x

That's what I was thinking, just wanted to make sure that there wouldn't be a safety issue as they can fit in that hole lol

As long as the hole Isnt of a size where they can get their head stuck
