hi,
i was looking in my piggies cages and thought it looked quite dull! so i was wondering what safe, fun toys could i make for them!?! i am getting some toys for them for my birthday but it can be quite expensive to always have somthing new and exciting bought for them! so i had a look on various websites and its allways the same "igloos/hide - outs" and i have that for them already :p but what else could i have for them?!? oh, forgot i have tubes of various diametres and lengths. any ideas would help :) just want them to have fun!(espesially one who has loads of energy and is a very curious pig)
thank you xx

Maybe stuff there tubes with hay and hide veggys in there so they have to work for their food? Also fruit tree or willow tree branches are awesome as they love to chew them :)

I get brown paper bags (either Primark ones of Macdonalds ones!) and stuff them with hay and bits of hidden veggies. Keeps them entertained for ages!

My two love the huge weetabix box I think it gets like 72 inside, I chop off one side and make little holes in the sides so they can sit under it and walk in and out from any direction.

If you have a cardboard tube from inside the roll of a wrapping paper chop that up into various lengths of about 2 or 3 inches and but something tasty and fresh inside. It can be challenging for them as the tube rolls, my two even pick up the tubes and throw them around.

The most simple thing in the world that my boys love is a blanket pegged to the side of their run, it makes a little hiding spot for them to go and chill behind or they just race behind it over and over again.

I have some old milk boxes from work that are big enough to fit 2 guinea pigs in. I just cut holes in the sides and filled it with hay and bits of lettuce for them to find, lots of fun.

Piggy "car washes" are always a hit too, cut some fleece into strips and hang in cage ( sort of like a fly curtain effect) where the piggies can walk/run through. They love it. Also another use for paper bags is turning them into instant tunnels ( cut straight across bottom end then fold top and bottom ends over to help it keep it's shape and stop it from collapsing), none of my piggies past and present could resist a paper bag tunnel, I think it's the crinkly sound it makes as they run through it that makes it such a hit, plus they can eat it too! ( for safety the brown kraft ones, not the bleached or printed. You can buy them in bulk off Ebay)
