I have lily in a ferplast 120, its fine but in the long run id like her to have one or two friends so I want a bigger cage, maybe the ferplast 140 but Id prefer a top opening than the whole side opening.

C&C not really an option because I have 2 cats and children

Any suggestions?

C&C with a lid :-)

Liberta do a 150 cage with a stand for £150 on one of the sites like justcages

its bigger than the Ferplast 140 and looks nicer too

Piggies should always be with friends :-) 2 could fit in a 120 but any bigger would be much appreciated by them.

http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=813&pf_id=58415 without a stand is £97
or a 150 with a stand
http://www.petplanet.co.uk/product.asp?dept_id=813&pf_id=58417 £154

Both are longer than the ferplast but the one without a stand is only about the same price :-)

the liberta 150 cages are often on ebay much cheaper sold by zooplus under different names - they go for about £40

search liberta r6a for the 150cm sized one - I know there are 2 up for auction at the moment

Hiya! Well, as mentioned C and C cage with lid is super secure, but in terms of a large, roomy pet stores, have you tried Marchioro Cages? [ame]http://www.amazon.com/MARCHIORO-CAGE-TOMMY-BEIGE-GREEN/dp/B0002AQWPK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top[/ame]

This cage is the only petstore cage reccomended on guineapigcages.com. I had one for about a month before I got my c and c cage, and though it was small, I was very happy with it. I'd say it was slightly smaller than a 2x3 C and C cage.

Another great cage is the Midwest Guinea pig habitat http://www.midwesthomes4pets.com/category/default.aspx?maincatid=27&subcat=4&submenu=0&catid=143

this is a great cage, especially if you attach two together, which makes 16 square feet- you could fit up to 4 piggies in there! It doesn't have a lid, but you could easily make one... but really, going for this is pretty much the same as going for a c and c cage, except the bottom is canvas, versus coroplast, so it would eventually become much harder to clean :))
