Mikatelyn
Junior Guinea Pig
For some time now I've been noticing Bandit, a 7 month old boar, will sometimes appear to be licking a spot on the fleece repeatedly. Just now I gave the piggies a new box to play in. Bandit jumped in, and dribbled what I think is urine on a few spots on the cardboard. Then he went to one of the spots and either licked it up or smeared it around with his mouth. I'm fairly certain it was urine. It's watery, has a slightly milky appearance to it, then dried into the cardboard with kind of a whitish chalky appearance, although not gritty. I don't think it's boar glue. It's not sticky or hard whatsoever.
He's otherwise healthy and acting normally. He's eating fine, drinking fine, poops are normal, gaining weight at his weekly weigh-ins.
I know they can eat their own poop, but are they supposed to drink their own urine or does my piggy have some psych issues I need to address?
