Ok... so well with this hot weather and stinky piggies, my room is getting a bit Smelly (infacted I've most out) :)) and The Bunny Olithium which I use is a nightmare to clean daily. Now I need a bedding that is easily changed daily, doesn't smell too much and not messy for the Haylofts so boys and girls thinking Caps ON.

Please help me and my stinky Pigs, All ideas welcome :))!

I am quite pleased since I changed to fleece with newspaper underneath. I don't use it in the hay area. I put the hay in a large litter tray with newspaper lining. I empty to the compost heap daily and the smell is not too bad although I don't actually go up and sniff it. I think the worse smell from the cage is the pair of old socks I put in yesterday!

Originally, I used wood shavings which were good for smell but got everywhere.

I started with an old blanket before I went out to buy fleece to see how much it smelled. I wash at 95 degrees.

I am currently trialing doormats under the fleece on one of the levels.

I still use newspaper and bedding hay changed daily. It works for me.

Do you find it Smells? I have fleece and incopads which is Perfect doesn't appear to be too smelly, it's hay Kitchen which I'm finding a real PAIN to say the least!

I've got megazorb and hay in the litter trays. I change the hay once or twice a day and the megazorb every 3 days (I lift out any really soggy patches daily). I don't think it smells. :)

I'm with Lisa on this and ive switched back to newspaper and hay. I do put the bed o linum underneath the layers of paper though, i layer the bottom then add some bed o linum and then put a layer over the bed o linum with 3 sheets of newspapers, add the bedding hay and then the oxbow. I change the hayloft daily or every 2 days depending on how smelly it is. I must say it works well for me and ive not notice any smells and my pigs are in our living room. :)

I put the hay in our recycling bag and the newspaper in the recycle bin so all is recycled. :))
