The brush I have is crap ! The bristles are not strong enough... I look like a crazy lady outside whacking my fleece before it goes in the washer... Anyone recommend a stronger bristled brush from somewhere ?? I have a scrubbing brush type too but that is way too harsh on the fleece....

If it's for getting bits off fleece then how about trying a 'rubber curry comb'? They are sold as horse brushes and are very cheap but great for getting hair and bits off fleece :)

i will have a look.. i saw a rubbery one before i had the piggies - when i went back - no longer sold them :( typical !

Also you can get washing bags, I've seen people use those horse bags.

I would assume it's because you don't want to put hay in your washer.

i have a horse wash bag.... i just want to see less hairs going in the washer.... i bang and shake and brush like a mad woman so would like an decent brush lol !

OCD! :) Nothing wrong with wanting the hairs gone :)

I'm going to get a couple of those bags as well, my washer gets clogged up with hair and hay, luckily it's got a filter.

:( it works well for me! I'm thinking a wire brush, but I suppose that could damage fleece?
i have a hard bristled brush but that did damage one fleece, ripped a hole in it :( i am sure your brush is fine lol.. its just me and hairs, i hate my own hair when it falls out and i detest taking my son to the barbers..........

XD
Have you tried one of those Lindt rollers, you can get packs of them at bargain stores £1 ?

yeah tried that... it was ok... someone else suggested that me before and i had one hiding in the back of the cupboard ..

O.O problem is they get used quite quickly :hmm:
yeah, i used 2 dead quick cos they don't last long... me and weird hair ways lol ! i can't even pull my hair out the plug hole without gagging when i wash it cos i loose loads for some reason....

I use this kind of brush. It has got good thick bristles. It does tend to make my fleece go fluffier but it has not damaged it and I have brushed it every week for a few months. I also have a rubber curry comb which I use before the dandy brush. Rubber comb is good for daily sweeping when it is down in the hutch.
