so i found out the mother is 8 months old and her baby i got is 6weeks old.
her baby is always behind her while she lays down and moving around with her too.
they also have houses to go in and i put blanket over cage like advised, but seems they have picked this one open corner they like a lot so maybe when they move might save hour over that area. (they moved a bowl out of that corner XD) but i mean the mother has eat a lot but the baby had few nibbles food here and there(of just hay by what i saw), i tried point in cage as they was looking where bottles are and bowl just incase but they haven't touched the water yet there just staying in one space so far, there food bowl is right next to t hem incase got hungry they have eat few cucumber or least i saw the mother do so. there pretty energetic when they run and are bit skittish if i move the sheet slightly , but i have put my hand in there with them in there just placing things in the mother dont seem to mind me doing so . should i be worried about anything?

It all sounds normal, do you have particular worries?
When I have new piggies who haven't found the water bottles yet, I feed wet veg like lettuce and cucumber twice a day.
If you're worried about the baby eating, regular weighing could set your mid at ease.
When you approach the cage, chat to them and they'll learn you're not a predator and gradually build more trust.

Welcome to the forum

This collection of guides will be helpful to you. They contain a lot of information for new owners such as how to settle new piggies, ensuring appropriate cage sizes, the diet guides and behaviour guides

New Owners' Most Helpful How-To Guides and Information

Hay is the most important food source and the thing they must eat most of in a day so it’s great youve seen them eating it. They need large piles of hay constantly as it makes 80% of their daily food intake. Around one cup of veg per pig per day and then just one tablespoon of pellets per pig per day. Pellets are the least important part of the diet and they should be kept limited and not allowed constant access to them .
To ensure piggies are eating enough hay, as you cannot judge it by eye, you should weigh them every week as part of routine care. The guide on how to weigh and weight management is included in the link above

Honestly for the first few weeks we had our piggies at home I was convinced every morning that I would find them all dead in the cage.
I tiptoed around the house and worried about them all the time.

But trust me it won't be long before they are bouncing around the cage and wheeking like crazy every time they think there is even the slightest chance of food.
You are doing a great job - it's nerve-racking to begin with, but one day you will look back and wonder what you were so worried about.

thanks guys for the reply :) i have update :)
the mother seems to be eating more cucumber as is more exploring right now too. The baby had finally found out the hideyho to go hide in and the mother soon followed. they are still little jittery but to be expected only been a day. I'm excited see many more wonderful things

oh yeah i had the same fear, my mama pig lays on her side and sleeps so i would just gently walk up make sure she is breathing xD and yes the mama sure does love her cucumber. :D
