Can I just say: I love all the housing threads - I really enjoy seeing how other people house their piggies, the clever ideas people come up with in terms of enrichment and in designing the overall space.
I think personally these threads are really valuable in that people can see that although the traditional hutch still makes for a good option, you really don't have to stick with that, and guinea pigs appreciate the things that you don't always find in pet stores, and that pet store options are not the only optins people have when they look into getting their guinea pigs.
Guinea pigs really are versatile in the fact that houses don't even need to be fully enclosed, and there are so many things you can make a piggy-house from to fit the space you have .
When it comes to equipping the house with enrichment items the options are many and varied, so no matter what type of housing you choose, there are always ways to make things comfortable and interesting for your little friends.
I would always recommend people visit these threads and browse the photos before getting their first piggies :)

Just had a moment there - wanted to share my thoughts :)

You're absolutely right - they're great threads . You've also reminded me that I've never posted pictures to my " exercise run" . I've got a table height hutch and I've got a wallpaper pasting table with a run made out of C and C grids. It's a lovely extension to the hutch.
