I love my piggies!

I don’t want to bore you lot, but here’s a short story about how I decided to get guinea pigs! So in December I was going through a really rough patch, I had bad mental health and no job. I needed something to focus my mind on, I decided that I should get a new pet. At first I didn’t know which pet to get I alread have a dog and two mice Who I love so much. I decided to get something I’ve never had before and that’s when I decided to buy guinea pigs. And since December my Norman and Earnie have got me into a proper bed time routine because they have set feeding times and it’s also helped me to remember to take my meds. I now spend most of my money on them instead of things I could do without, I now have a job! My boyfriend recently left me but my Earnie and Norman has helped me through it. It’s amazing what two little fluff balls can do for my mentality on life, they’re just so content and show me so much appreciation for the little things I do like just changing their cage around nd having floor time brings them so much happiness! My fur babies are my world

It is amazing what our pets can do isn't it? Once you get into a set routine it's so much easier. Having to take your meds on a regular basis is easy to forget especially in your situation (I know this cos my lovely late Mum had bipolar and would forget her meds). Pets are very good for mental health as it gives you something else to focus on. My Mum was very insular during her 'down' times and would only think of herself. If you know there is somebody relying on you and needs you then you have to sort them out whether you want to or not. Guinea pigs make wonderful pets. I love my 5 and they are great. You need to put the work in first though when they are young and skittish. After you have put in the hard work in taming then the rewards are massive!

What adorable bundles of floof! Not boring at all! It's always good to hear. Most of my money goes on the pigs as well; I can't resist a new cage liner or an interesting vegetable for them to try!
