I sort of hoped they would grow out of it- or maybe turn out like other peoples piggies who let them know when they want to wee when they are having lap time (From reading about some peoples piggies on here :) )

Poppys not so bad but pebbles- she uses me as a litter tray i think :(|)
i fold a towel over several times to stop their wee leaking through onto me but pebbles seems to pick a spot and keeps weeing in it- and eventually i realise what shes done when i can feel a wet spot soaking through by tracky bottoms rolleyes

And sometimes poppy decides she doesn't want to wee where she is- pokes he bum just off the towel and lets a wee out- last time it went over our brand new sofa bed mallethead- such a naughty poppy, so we have to keep a close eye on what she's doing.

Does anyone else have piggies that liek to poo and wee all over them?

Does anybody think it would be better to hold them before i gave them their veggies so i wouldn't get pooped and weed on so much?

I would recommend cuddling BEFORE dinner or a couple of hours after it!

You can also put any piggy that pees on you back in the cage and tell them that you are not plenty (but do not shout); they will get the message pretty quickly!

Do you think that would work- sort of telling them off for doing it? I think i will try putting of din dins until i've held them tonight to see,

Though they will keep telling me off all night for not giving them their veggies- i can't go upstairs without getting wheeked at anymore :(|)

What age are they? I found with my two baby boys they just needed to poop and pee all the time, but now they can control it because they're older I guess, so they usually wait til they go back in their cage. If I hold them for too long (and ignore their wriggling when they need to pee) then they'll still pee on me!

our younger 2 have got better at telling us they need to pee as they have got older, though Junior is known forget when he gets excited (often when he starts rumbling he pees as well).
Monty has been good from day one.
Arthur has never been good at telling us he needs to get down but he does get embarrased when he does pee on us, bless. we have got round this by realising we cannot hold him for more than 12 mins, so we just keep an eye on the clock at cuddle time.

Aww thanks everyone for your tips, they are young piggies, well they are 5 months old so not sure if that is old enough for them to have grown out of it if they were going to?

Poppys not that bad but pebbles will lie down on me and just wee and wee and wee lol and she doesn't let on cause she lies there chilling as she always does lol.

I wish she would wiggle around when she wants to go but she doesn't really care where she wees- she just lets it all out lol.

I use one of these [ame="http://www.amazon.co.uk/Absorbent-Chair-Pad-65-cms/dp/B000MEVDPA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&qid=1276632549&sr=8-3-spell"]one of these[/ame] for lap time :)

I just say "uh oh" for everything that is going wrong.

Usually, the older a piggies gets, the better it can control its bladder and pooing. Most piggies will start to alert you when they get urgent by getting wiggly or nipping you or your clothing.

It also depends on how long you have them out; most of my piggies do not like being cuddled for ages, so 5-15 mins is about average - and that is long enough to hold the bladder. From 20 mins onwards you have to count on accidents.

When I think back what mine were like when I first got them, I had no idea when they would need toilet time. Now however with age and plus they don't like sitting in the wet stuff themselves, they have their own little ways. Buttercup can still surprise me now and again by sitting her bum out over whatever edge she's near. As long as I have a double folded fleece they can snuggle upto and me of course giving me lots of kisses, they are good.xoxo

Some of ours wiggle to let you know but we have a boy who will sit and wee on you without a second thought and will then just sit there until you feel teh wet and move him!

that's exactly what pebbles is like- she'll just sit their weeing and it doesn't bother her which is why i don't realise until it's to late rolleyes

I keep her out on my lap for a fair while so i know to expect accidents- she loves being out on my lap and will just lie there sticking her feet out (Which is so cute x)) and chats away to me so i don't want to stop doing that. I think i'm going to try having them out before veg time and see if it makes a difference with the amount if wees and poos they do :))

Our two also just poop and pee at will, although in fairness to them they like being on the sofe and will quite happliy be out for an hour or two, or sit cuddled in my in fleece top while I am on conference calls if working from home :)

Midnight, our boar is really naughty though, he likes to pee as a territory / scent thing and will often sneak off his fleece and into the crook where back or thigh meets sofa and sit for 2 secs with an innocent look on his face until he suddenly jumps and scuttles off after having done his business and you start to feel wet! 8...

I feel cheated. Mine don't stay on my lap long enough to go to the toilet. After much time spent trying to catch them, the moment I put them onto my lap they just climb straight off again.

Tiny does not care where she goes.

However, my two younger girlies tend to wait until I'm holing them, if both my boyfriend and I hold them ¬_¬

I feed them, yet they love him more...

Poppy seems to chill out more and have a lie down on my other half- she doesn't seem to settle on me, which is weird when i'm around them more but he loves being poppys favourite lol :(|)

Well i held off feeding them until i had cuddled then and it does help- haven't got weed or pooed on as much- and they don't seem to mind too much waiting for their food.

But then again i'm getting them out earlier so they aren't waiting to long for their food. I think there would bea riot if i made them wait too long :))

They are very impatient my girls- especially when i'm getting the run ready for them- they start chewing at the cage and wheeking at me very loudly :))

When William & Keith first arrived at my house, they seemed to save ALL their wee up for when it was cuddle time.

Now they are really good and dare I say it, I have not been wee'd on for a good 6 months.

We're able to get them out for cuddles for about half an hour before it's time for them to trot off and do business, once they're done it though they want more cuddles and often poke their noses at the cage door to come back out.

If they are sitting on someone's lap, neck, foot or arm and they start squeeking more and wiggling their bottoms you know it's time for them to go have a little rest stop. Usually it's both at the same time, we learnt the hard way about this, usually ending up soaked in guinea pig wee!

You'll get the hang of it and will know when they need to go :)

one of my boys will just pee on me, my other will nibble on my clothes and then my hand if i dont pay attention in order to tell me.

I find that both my boys back up before they wee, if yours are the same as mine i usually can watch for them starting to back up and pick them up and they are pretty good at knowing i am putting them home and they can wee in 1 minute.

I dont know if this will help but it works most of the time for me!

GOOD LUCK
