a cage which is 2 x 5 split down the middle at the 3rd grid then a half a grid plat form going around the top of the cage....I have a drawing of it but I'm at work and only have my iphone with me, I will see what I can hax up for getting it on here in a bit :p

Looks good, but I don't think you'll get a ramp up into a 1/2 grid upper. The upper will only be 7 inchs wide. Why don't you have a full grid width as the upper?

It looks good, but the platform seems a bit narrow, especially with the hole for the ramp.

What about a 2X6 split down the middle with no platform? If you have room for it that is. :)

I think I can go to 2x6 but space is very tight, I will see if I can get a full grid in there or even cut only 2 bits off a grid i think so its 3 quarters.....

thank you for your input! much appreciated!

oh just to add that the big squares at the end are full size grids! so i guess doing a full size grid along the top seems a good idea! I just dont want to limit access to the cage for cleaning etc.

If it is 2 grids deep, you shouldn't have a problem :) it's when they get longer than arms length that I found it to be a pain.

Have you got the grids already? If you have, best thing to do is to play around with them before commiting yourself to a design - something might spring to mind that you never thought of before :) Good luck!

I have so many grids in my room lol!

I already have a 2x5 cage which is why I was going to adapt it so I can put them both in there, as the the moment their 2 cages take up say 40% of my free space in my room, and at the new place this is not possible! (i have Berts cage built in and around my desk :p)

Normally I'm fine at building the new c&c cages, I just seem to be lacking ideas at the moment, i guess its because it has to be right for the move!

What about a 2X5 split down the middle, but putting the upstairs platforms at each end, a 1X2 at opposite ends, so they can go up if they don't want to see each other anymore :P

It might be a little easier for cleaning . . .

I think you still need to put them together if you buy from that site. I think so anyway . . . if you have the grids already then you might as well use them. :) Hope you come up with something good anyway, and post pics when it's done!

I have a rescue in Notts I can give them too if needs be...I will run it pass the BF, it would be easier to buy the kit so we Can have it shipped to his house (where I'm moving to) and then build in there, instead of ripping apart the one I have now and redoing it all this weekend having to buy everything...I will put picks up!
