Any advise on whether it's a good idea if and when to try and re-introduce them?

I think it is. For a couple of days you should comepetely separate them so they cannot see each other. Then make their cages next to each other. After a while bring both of them out in the lounge to play and if they are getting along better you could try putting them back in together. This may take a while but is worth it. By the way why did you need to separate them in the first place?!

Hi Amber
If no blood as drawn then there could still be a chance. When Bounty went to attack Butterscotch but luckily I got the two painful bites I knew that I wouldn't be trying them again.

Grids are always good as they can see each other and there isn't the worry of them attacking each other.

On the other thread - little nips can be okay.. Sometimes Jake nips Lentil every so lightly when he starts to annoy him as Lentil deserves it as he can be a pain sometimes with Jake but Jake doesn't hurt him - just gives him a little warning.

See how they go maybe with the grids at the moment - so it gives you a chance to look at their behaviour with each other.

Thanks Hannah!

Will keep the grids up over the wknd and maybe remove some of the cardboard gradually?

No blood was drawn but seiously Oscar was hoooooting like mad. Never heard anything like it!

They were going mad trying to get to each other when separated.

Dominance wise, does there always have to be a dominant one and does this go on until one backs down then?

Hope you are feeling better today! x

Well Jake isn't dominant and doesn't really show dominance and Lentil isn't entirely dominant but Lentil does like to hump poor Jakey several times a day.

Thanks - I'm still sad and down but I'll pick up x

Oh no! No experience to help you but sending crossed fingers your way! xx
