So today I was cleaning my massive cage for the first time. When I was making it I was like ha, this will be easy I will just dump it like I did before with the small ones.
But as I was going to clean I realized that it was too big to properly fit a garbage bag so I decided to vacuum it instead. So I pull out the vacuum and get to work and its fine till I get about 1/10 done when suddenly a banana chip that someone decided to bury gets jammed D:< So I get that out and continue, with a few clogs from too much wet shavings.
Then I get near the hay racks and experienced pure Hell. Not even joking in the time to do the "hay half" of my cage took me like an hour by itself. Until finally I was so sick of unclogging the vacuum I just took a dustpan and scooped most of it out. I hate you hay D:<
Also when I only had 2 pigs and fleece it was a pain too.
How do you guys deal with hay? My guinea pigs just LOVE to spread it everywhere.
