A young woman (30) I have known since she was born passed away on Thursday.

She had anorexia. She had been hospitalised since the age of 13. RIP. I hope you have found peace at last.

Her twin was also hospitalised at the age of 13 with anorexia but four years ago she managed to overcome this awful mental illness. She passed some GCSEs and a foundation course and is studying occupational therapy at uni.

I'm very sorry to hear that weepweeps.
Eating disorders are terrible illnesses. I hope she has finally found peace too. 🕊

It's actually Eating Disorders Awareness Week this week, and I'd encourage everyone to learn a bit about spotting the signs of eating disorders and uncover some of the myths and stereotypes surrounding them.
Beat (The UK's Eating Disorder Charity - Beat) is an incredible charity, and has helplines and lots of support available for anybody affected by an eating disorder (including family and friends).
To anyone out there who's struggling: please don't be afraid to reach out for help. Recognising you need medical support can be the first step to recovery.

I'm so sorry weepweeps- please take all the time you need to grieve and work through your emotions. ❤

I didn’t even know there was an awareness week for eating disorders. Thank you for highlighting that 😍

It’s difficult to wear something so pretty to a funeral. But they want pink and to celebrate her life so I hope I’ve not gone OTT.

These days funerals are more relaxed and wearing something bright and colourful is more acceptable.
It highlights the celebration of life.
Wear the dress and enjoy it as your tribute to your friend who is now at peace
