I picked up my piggies from the pet shop yesterday. They seem to have been around their cage while I was asleep as there are poops everywhere, but this morning/afternoon, they weren't/aren't moving around much at all. I'm keeping noise levels to a minimum and I'm watching them from across my room. Is it normal for baby piggies to not move much on the first/second day of their arrival? Their journey home was only around 10 minutes and I haven't been near their cage apart from once or twice to check if they're ok. Please help, I'm kind of worried :(

Guinea pigs take time to get used to a new environment. They will not move much as everything is new to them and they are cautious. Do not worry. They will be more active once they feel comfortable.

Thanks for your replies :) I'm glad that their timid behaviour is normal. I'm going to leave them alone for a couple more days so that they get used to their environment. I'm in looovveeeeee with them :D

:D! I agree :)
I have a new worry though. They're now out and about and even popcorning! But Lumpy Space Princess was running around quite erratically and now shes just in her tunnel singing/crying. O and she was scratching a lot. Does this just mean she's happy? Bubblegum Princess seems fine, she's just drinking and exploring.

Edit: Haha they run back in their tunnel at the slightest noise, but then they come back out again pretty quick. I WANT TO CUDDLE THEM! Bubblegum Princess is eating her carrot treat right now.
